Working closely with the CEO and other senior colleagues, your primary role will be to head up the business development function and drive commercial growth in line with our ambitious plans. You will build good relationships with key players in the medical device industry and relevant KOL clinicians, carry out discovery interviews to identify key unmet needs and build compelling value propositions around them. Having identified and qualified the most attractive market opportunities, you will work closely with colleagues and customers to develop and pitch high value product solutions, in preparation for clinical trials, regulatory approval and large-scale commercial adoption.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject.
- At least five years’ experience in a similar senior business development role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Proven ability to plan and manage resources.
- Eligible to work permanently in the US and travel to Europe and China for business purposes.
You will report directly to the CEO. You will also work in collaboration with other members of the senior management team together with external consultants, customers, and collaborators.
You will work from home and frequently travel internationally. The company is based in Nottingham, UK so you will also need to attend meetings there on a periodic basis.
